CALABRIA, the ancient flavours of the south

1° Day Reggio Calabria

Your group arrives in Reggio Calabria for a tour of the city and the National Museum, where you can see the Bronzi di Riace (Bronze Statues of Riace), then on to your hotel for evening meal and accommodation.

2° Day Vibo Valentia - Serra San Bruno

Breakfast, then morning excursion to Vibo Valentia and Serra San Bruno. Lunch in restaurant. Late afternoon return to hotel for evening meal and accommodation.

3° Day Aspromonte

After breakfast in hotel, departure for Aspromonte, and on the way you will go through pretty, mountain towns like Laganadi, Sant’Alessio and Santo Stefano. Lunch in restaurant. Return to hotel for evening meal and accommodation.

4° Day Costa Viola - Piana degli Ulivi

After breakfast in the hotel,departure for the slopes of Aspromonte, from Scilla and Bagnara as far as the Piani della Corona right at the top of Monte Sant’Elia: from this “Terrace of the Tirreno”, a glimpse is all you need if you want to see the entrance of the strait, the Eolie islands and, to your right, Piana degli Ulivi on the coast of Calabria. Lunch in restaurant. Return to hotel for evening meal and accommodation.

5° Day Magna Grecia

After breakfast in the hotel, departure for the famous, ancient parts of Magna Grecia: Locri, Crotone, as far as Stilo, birthplace of Tommaso Campanella and proud of its monuments, especially the “Cattolica”, a rare and unique example of Byzantine architecture.Lunch during the tour.
