DOLOMITES

1° Day Belluno

Late morning arrival of your group in Belluno, with lunch where you wish. In the afternoon a tour of this small Venice in the mountains, sitting on the rocks above where the mountain stream Ardo flows into the Piave, safe from military attacks of the past and the times when the river burst its banks; in the middle of a large basin, with the horizon of the Dolomites of Agordina on one side and the sub Alpine chain of hills of Belluno on the other. Wood is a natural, mountain wealth, in fact the inhabitants of Belluno used to drift the pine trunks as far as the Rafts of Venice. To be seen: Piazza dei Martiri, Piazza del Duomo, the Duomo, Palazzo dei Rettori and the Museo Civico. Dinner and accommodation in your hotel in the evening.

2° Day The Dolomites

After breakfast in the hotel, departure for a scenic tour in the heart of the most beautiful mountains in the Veneto region, with a view of the most famous summits like Cortina d’Ampezzo, the most popular tourist resort both in summer and in winter. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternnon the tour continues with a stop at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, or in the direction of the Dolomites. Return to hotel, evening meal and accommodation.

3° Day Treviso

After breakfast in the hotel, departure for Treviso, chief town of the province. The town has narrow streets under porticos, illustrious monuments, and the town walls have Gothic and Renaissance decorations. Both small and middle sized industries keep the economy going, and the incredible market gardening is a gastronomical masterpiece, keeping the quality of life high. To be seen: San Nicolò, the “Luigi Bailo” Museo Civico, the Duomo, Piazza dei Signori, Piazza del Monte di Pietà and the Church of San Francesco. Lunch in a restaurant.
