Itinerary
1° Day Pesaro
Your group will arrive in Pesaro, chief town of the province, in the afternoon, and your tour will be of: Piazza del Popolo, Palazzo Ducale, Museo Archeologico Oliveriano, Church of San Giovanni Battista, Church of Sant’Agostino, Civic Museums, Picture gallery, Ceramics Museum, and the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie. In the evening you will head for your hotel on the Conero Riviera for your evening meal and accommodation.
2° Day Urbino – Ancona
Breakfast in hotel, then departure for a tour of the city of Urbino: Piazza del mercatale, Piazza della Repubblica, the Dome and the “Albani” Museum, Piazza Rinascimento, the Gothic Church of San Domenico, Palazzo dell’Università, Palazzo Ducale, and the Marche National Museum. Stop for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon departure for a tour of the town of Ancona, chief town of the region: Mole Vanvitelliana, ex Sant’Agostino Church, Piazza della Repubblica, Via della Loggia with the Loggia dei Mercanti and the Church of Santa Maria della Piazza, Piazza del Plebiscito, Palazzo del Governo, Church of Santa Domenica, Civic Picture-gallery, Piazza Stracca, National Archaeology Museum, Piazza Senato, San Ciriaco. Return to hotel for evening meal and accommodation.
3° Day Loreto – Recanati
Breakfast in hotel, then departure for Loreto, the “holy town”. It is in a very fertile area, between the Potenza and Musone valleys, with the town’s most important attraction watching over it: the Sanctuary of the Santa Casa. You will visit: Sanctuary of the Santa Casa, the Palazzo Apostolico, the Picture-gallery. Lunch in a restaurant, then on to Recanati, that like Loreto sits on a hill between the Musone and Potenza valleys. You will visit: Palazzo Comunale, with the civic picture-gallery and the Beniamino Gigli Museum, Torre del Borgo and the Giacomo Leopardi monument, Church of San Domenico, Church of Sant’Anna, San Filippo, San Francesco, Diocesan Museum, Villa Colloredo, Palazzo degli Studi, Church of Sant’Agostino, the Cloister with the statue of the Solitary Sparrow, and last but not least Palazzo Leopardi. Return to hotel for evening meal and accommodation.
4° Day Frasassi caves
In the morning departure for the biggest underground calcareous cavity in Europe, the Frasassi Grottos. A unique formation of stalactites, stalagmites and many other beautifully shaped creations. The Grotta Grande del Vento is 13 km long, and going to see it is a unique and unforgettable experience. Lunch in a restaurant in Genga.
