THE VILLAS OF BRENTA, Padova and Vicenza

1° Day Padova

Your group arrives in Padova in the early afternoon. Tour of the city: starting at the Giardini dell’Arena, then the Cappella degli Scrovegni, where you can admire the famous collection of Giotto frescos; Church of the Eremitani, Basilica del Santo and Battistero. Departure for Lido di Jesolo, arrival at hotel, evening meal and accommodation.

2° Day Ville del Brenna

After breakfast in the hotel, departure for Strà and its Villa Pisani. At the end of the visit embarkation on the ferry. A stop at Dolo with a visit to the Antichi Molini dating back to the sixteenth century with a small taste of the natural products. The ferry takes you across the Chiusa di Dolo. Lunch in a restaurant. After lunch a ferry tour of the towns, weirs and swing bridges, then across the Mira Weir. A stop at the Widmann or Barchessa Valmarana Villa, then a tour of Gardenigo Villa. The ferry tour continues across the Moranzani Weir, arriving at Venice at approximately 6.00 p.m. Return to the hotel for evening meal and accommodation.

3° Day Vicenza

After breakfast in the hotel departure for a tour of the city of Vicenza: Teatro Olimpico, Palazzo di Schio, Palazzo del Comune, Basilica Palladina, Duomo and Palazzo Vescovile. From Vicenza, taking the Valmarana Route, you get to the Almerico Capra Villa, also called “La Rotonda” (the Round building), built by Palladio. Lunch in a restaurant.
