TRENTINO classic tour

1° Day Bolzano – Trento

Your group arrives in Bolzano in the early afternoon, with a tour of the city. Bolzano is on the way to the Brennero, that , as far back as medieval times, was the main road connecting Italy with Germany, so much so that even today it still shows signs of an ancient commercial centre where different cultures met and fought. To be seen: Duomo dell’Assunta, Chiesa dei Domenicani, Palazzo Mercantile. Arrival at hotel, evening meal and accommodation.

2° Day Val di Non

After breakfast in the hotel, departure for an all day tour of the Val di Non, the biggest in Trentino. Next stop Sanzeno, and San Romedio, where there is a very interesting sanctuary consisting of a group of buildings high up (70 metres)on a rocky cliff, where one mountain stream flows into another. Departure for Malgolo, where the castle bearing the same name, built around a big, fourteenth century tower, appears before you as soon as you get there. Return to the hotel, evening meal and accommodation.

3° Day Trento

After breakfast in the hotel, a tour of the city of Trento: regional chief town, it is also the historical, financial and communication centre of the Valle dell’Adige, a natural road from Padania to the Alps. In the old part you can still see clear signs of medieval and Renaissance architecture, as well as the historical remains of the episcopal principality. To be seen: Piazza della Fiera, Piazza del Duomo and the Duomo, Palazzo Pretorio, Castle of Buonconsiglio. Lunch in a restaurant when the tour is over.
