WEASTERN SICILY

1° Day Palermo - Monreale

Your group arrives in Palermo in the morning, where you will go on a tour of the city’s most important monuments: the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Cathedral, Palazzo dei Normanni with its magnificent palatine Chapel. The Dome and the Cloister of the Benedictine Convent in Monreale are fascinating. You will head for your hotel where you will be given your room and lunch, after which you will be able to go on a detailed tour of Sicily’s chief town or, if you prefer, go to the scenic rock of Monte Pellegrino and admire Mondello and the entire Conca d’Oro. Return to hotel for evening meal and accommodation.

2° Day Sagesta - Erice - Mozia

After breakfast in the hotel departure for Segesta where you will visit the Solitary Temple, whose majestic outline can be seen on Monte Barbaro. Next destination the medieval town of Erice, whose fascinating history can be seen just by walking along the narrow, paved lanes. Lunch in a restaurant then off again for a tour of the Island of Mozia, an ancient Phoenician town you can get to by a short crossing by boat. You will then head for your hotel in Marsala for your evening meal and accommodation

3° Day Selinute - Agrigento

After breakfast departure for a tour of Selinunte, the largest archaeological site in the Mediterranean, with its Eastern Temples and the Acropoli. Lunch in a restaurant, then on to Agrigento, where you will visit the monumental Valley of the Temples, where the scent of the past mingles with that of the blossom of the almond trees. Evening meal and accommodation in hotel.

4° Day Cefalù - Palermo

After breakfast departure for Cefalù for a tour of this wonderful, majestically simple town: the Norman Dome, the Osterio Magno, residence of King Ruggero, and the medieval wash house with natural spring water flowing through it. Lunch in restaurant then on to Palermo, where you will have time to do some shopping or go on a treasure hunt of the city. Departure for starting point (Palermo).
